Savannah

Made our way up the east coast to Savannah. I think I like Georgia a little better than Florida (so far). Beautiful country and a little less humid. We are staying at Savannah Oaks RV Park and enjoying the quiet and the scenery. Lots of moss covered trees.

We went on a beautiful hike this morning on the various trails surrounding the Historic Ogeechee Canal. The canal was used to transport various commodities and goods in the 1800’s. It is 16.5 miles long and is filled with snakes (Missy saw one and freaked out), lizards, and turtles.

Missy got a surprise birthday card and presents from Tiffany, Manny, Colton, and PG. She was very happy and the notes from the kids brought a tear to her eyes. We love the kids and the babies and will see them soon.

Made it into downtown Savannah for dinner, site seeing, and drinks. Had a blast cruising around River Street and Broughton Street areas eating, drinking, and listening to live music. Weather was perfect, food was great, and the drinks were marvelous.

We were also impressed with the unique flowers and plants that are everywhere. Missy is eager to find a new home so that she can garden again. It is a passion of hers.

We are moving on tomorrow towards Asheville North Carolina…
