Made the trip over to the Big Easy today. Love New Orleans! Landed in the middle of a music festival and had a great day visiting some of our favorite places and enjoying a few beers and some good food. We visited my favorite steakhouse (Dickie Brennan’s) unfortunately the bar was closed. It is where I always eat at Dickie’s. Love the service. No worries we next stopped at the Crescent City Brewhouse another favorite. The have the best (freshest) oysters in New Orleans and great craft brew. As some of you may recall my post from Bodega Bay (bad experience) this is the first time I have enjoyed oysters in a while. They did not disappoint. Missy enjoyed their Gumbo as well.

We then proceeded to explore the French Quarter visiting a few of our favorite places. Pat O’Brien’s (Home of the original Hurricane),┬áTropical Isle (Handgrenade), and Lafitte’s Blacksmith Shop Bar.

And of course a visit to the late night snack cart. Lucky Dog! Great hot dogs!

Lastly finished up at a graveyard. These things are just too eerie! Not sure I would want to be buried there. Missy thinks it would be cool.

See you again soon Big Easy.
