East Texas

We made our way from San Antonio to Abilene and then Tyler for a  couple nights stay at a nice park in Abilene and a beautiful park in the woods of east Texas. The park is about 30 miles west of where my brother James is about to move. It is a very beautiful place. Lots of trees and green rolling hills. Also enjoyed a terrific light show from the near by weather system. Missy didn’t appreciate the tornado warning though. All was good no tornados.

The people in this part of the country are so very nice. Seem to go way out of their way to be friendly and accommodating. A little different than California. And although I have really enjoyed the people and the food of Texas and the scenery of far east Texas I am sad to announce that Texas is not going to make the short list for the new walker hacienda.

We have been out on the road almost a month now and have seen some cool stuff and enjoyed some great food. Miss the family but we are staying in touch through email and texts. We are headed to Louisiana to a nice park on a lake with fun stuff to do. It is about 30 miles outside of New Orleans so I am sure we will make some time to visit the Big Easy.
