Made our way from Mobile Alabama to Destin Florida. Pretty easy drive. It is amazing how much the landscape changes within a hundred miles. From lush green rolling hills to white powder sand and large sand dunes. Fort Walton Beach and Okaloosa Island are gorgeous! Just missed Spring Break thank god! Very relaxing! Yeah I am finally learning how to relax and not need to be going all the time. It is great to just relax and read a book and not feel the need to be going all the time. I might finally be getting use to this retirement thing.
Enjoyed some time on the beach with Missy and Lucy. After which we enjoyed a little time at a great beach bar.
Made our way over to the boardwalk in Destin today. Food was uninspiring but the drinks and the sites were pretty darn good
Got a chance to watch some kite surfers as well. These folks are crazy!!
If you are every in the south and you look at a menu that has a sandwich that is named PIG and anything order it! Pig & Pickle or Pontchartrain Pig order it. You will be in heaven! That word is code for delicious!
Great day on the beach. I could easily learn to love this place. We decided to stay another week at a resort right up the road. Love the weather and the beach! Missy and Lucy are having a ball as well. They have boat up bars in the sound. Crazy! I think Missy is enjoying retirement!
